Delete My Account & Data
Effective date: August 7, 2026
Bible Helper is published by Barry Good LLC. You can permanently delete your account and all of the data associated with it at any time. You do not need an account on this website to make the request — the options below are all you need.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- All of your synced content stored in our cloud database (Firebase Cloud Firestore) — saved passages and history, memory cards, notes and note folders, labels, series (collections), and your app preferences.
- Your sign-in account itself (Firebase Authentication), including your email address, your password if you created an account with one, and the name and profile photo received from Google if you signed in that way.
This action is immediate and permanent and cannot be undone. We do not keep a backup copy of your synced content after you delete it.
What is kept, and for how long
- Crash and diagnostic reports. When the app crashes it sends a report to Firebase Crashlytics. We never attach your name, email address, or account ID to these reports, and we have no way to link one back to your account, which is why deleting your account does not affect them. They are not anonymous, however: Firebase tags each report with an installation identifier for the copy of the app it came from, along with your device model, operating-system version, and the technical details of the crash. Firebase keeps this data for 90 days and then begins removing it from its live and backup systems. See Firebase's privacy documentation for the full description.
- Anything stored only on your device. Content you created while signed out never left your device, so there is nothing for us to delete. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
Deleting only part of your data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove something. Inside the app you can delete any individual item at any time, and the deletion syncs to your other devices:
- A saved passage: open History, tap the ⋮ on that passage, then Delete.
- A memory card: open Memory, tap ⋮, then Remove from Memory.
- A note: open Notes, tap the ⋮ on that note, then Delete.
- A series: open Series, tap the ⋮ on that series, then Delete.
If you would rather we removed something for you, email support@biblehelper.app from your account's email address and tell us what to remove. We use the sending address to verify the request and locate your account, and we will confirm by reply, typically within 30 days.
Option 1 — Delete inside the app (fastest)
- Open Bible Helper and tap the settings gear (top-left of any tab).
- Tap your account row, then Manage Account.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Your account and synced data are erased right away.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can no longer open the app, email us and we will delete your account and data for you:
Send an email to support@biblehelper.app from the email address you used to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account and data."
We use the sending address to verify the request and locate your account. We will complete the deletion and confirm by reply, typically within 30 days.
